A great gift or favor for your quilting parties or Red Hat get-togethers!"Dear Egress Etch," a new client wrote, "I have a friend who is an avid quilter and also a member of a Red Hat group. I have an idea for a Friendship Quilt jar using recycled square jars and a crocheted jar topper, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it." We suggested that our client measure the etchable surface on the jars, thenk choose four of our simple graphics, and we'd enclose them in a border to resemble quilt blocks. "Beth" chose a heart, a clover, a tulip, and a butterfly. When she had finished her project, she sent the above photo and the note she had included with each jar:
Note from Egress Etch: "Beth" used recycled jam jars from Meijer Gold Raspberry Preserves. However, any type of glassware with square or rectangular sides, in any size, will work for this type of project. Just measure the etchable surface of the sides and choose the graphics you would like (or ask, if you don't see what you want in our Simple Graphics Catalog) -- we will create the stencils! The crocheted "Friendship Quilt Jar Topper" pattern is available for purchase from our friends at Treasured Heirlooms Crochet!
